As local populations grow, the River Jordan and its tributaries have become choked with garbage and sewage, turning a biblical landmark into a trickling, open drain. In an amazing example of cross border co-operation, groups of Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian youngsters are working together to refresh the river by rerouting sewage and clearing dumped junk.
